Wimberley is located in the beautiful Texas Hill Country on Ranch Road 12 just 45 miles southwest of Austin
and 60 miles northeast of San Antonio. It's different than the cities in the area because it is an unincorporated village.
The Post Office delivers to about 8,000 households and on certain weekends listed below, the number of people can swell to
twice that many as thousands of shoppers from as far away as Houston and Dallas converge for "Market Day" - a huge (over 400
booths) open air shopping experience for art, antiques, plants and practical "stuff." Also, on the third Saturday area artists
exhibit their works of art. The weather is typical for the Hill Country with hot summers and mild winters, averaging 300 days
of sunshine and 37 inches of rain a year. Wimberley is a popular tourist stop, well known for its many art and specialty shops.
